Such a high concentration of this is unusual – its unsaturated fatty acid content is thought to be responsible for castor oil’s remarkable skin caring qualities.

Castor oil can also be used on sensitive skin as a soothing facial cleanser. Castor oil is also a rejuvenating hair treatment, use it to promote healthy looking hair and adding lustre to your locks.

How to use:
Massage some warm castor oil into your hair and scalp. Castor oil contains omega-6 fatty acids, so it will nourish your hair from root to tip. Castor oil is a great oil to combat dandruff and split ends. For an intensive treatment, massage the oil into your roots and then into the hair, all the way to the ends. Wrap up your hair in a towel and if possible, leave the oil in overnight. Shampoo thoroughly the next morning. You may find that castor oil is too thick by itself so mix 1 part castor oil with one part coconut oil or sweet almond oil. You will be well on the way to healthy, shiny hair.
